Taylor Swift stared out from the window, watching the clouds pass by slowly, trying to make out
some shapes. Hey icy blue eyes soon looked down from the layerd clouds painted against the
pale blue sky.
The land was massive, it was filled with barns, arena's and other horse facilities most people
would only wish to have.
And in the distences, far away from the chipless, bleached white fences were pastures that lead into
a maze of trees. But all of this seemed so unspiring. Her thoughts were jamed with memories
and homesick of the small stable back in Kentucky. It was not even close to being anything like
this, this was what she had dreamed for, what she and Avenetro had been training for. But she
still had a homesickness, she actually missed the small 9 horse barn and that little welsh cob
who played tricks on everyone.
It seemed that everything she was tired of was now coming back to her as if she really did care
about those things.
Taylor's parents had died in a train wreck about three years ago; about the same she had gotten Avenetro.
Her older sister had taken care of her for those three years which seemed allot more like fice years.
The ranch and the horses were to much for her to pay for so the ranch went up for sale, along
with the pony and seven horses on it. One of the seals with her sister was that Avenetro would stay with Taylor, so he
did not go up for sale.
The ranch sold quickly, at first Taylor's sister made up from sort of reason of why the people who were interested in buying
could not buy it, and that there was something wrong with it or something.
But eventually gave in, like a wild mustang being broke.
They had one month to move out, that month was the most hardest months Taylor ever had exerianced
and ever would experiance. Her sister was able to find a small house with a tiny barn in the back. There was barley much of a
pasture for Avenetro, but that did not matter because as soon as they had settled in her sister
let it out.
She told Taylor that she had been saving all of her parents will and some money to send Taylor to a
large horse facility out of state where she and Avenetro could continue racing.
Taylor was upset for the first few days after that, but when the time for she and Avenetro
to leave she was in a rush to get out of there.
Taylor still sat at the window, still studying the facility and soon came back into thought.
Taylor was now far from Kentucky, far from her sister.
Every day that passed only made her hcnage more and more into the people in this new place.
She stared at a few dotted tree's in the pasture, her eyes began to blur and she fell back into thought
about her past and was soon pulled back into reallity when a knock on her door
echoed into her ears.
Her head urned to the door"Taylor, you coming down for brakefeast?" a young voice spoke
quietly"No. I think i am just going to get to the track with Avenetro" She replied and soon stood.
She quickly pulled her curled hair into a low, loose side pony tail and ran out the door and down the stairs.
She said her morning greetings to the large group of people at the table eating while she slide
a butterfly clip into her hair where it pulled around to the other side of her and went put her boots on then jogged
out the door and to the barn where Avenetro was tied outside his stall. A young stable hand
came from around the other side of the high sprung colt and smiled"Hey Taylor, i froomed and tacked him for you"she spoke
and handed Taylor the reins"Thanks, but you didn't have to, you know that" She explained and the stable
hand shrugged and skipped away.
Soon the sound of early morning hooves thundered down the track at a quick gallop.
Avenetro's flared nostrils blowing warm smoke into the chilled air and becoming visible against
the sunrise painted sky.
Taylor continued to stay on focus but still thought of the small farm back in Kentucky, where
she had first galloped at this speed on Avenetro, and took him to his first race.
Avenetro's mouth was forced open as the short reins pulled back on the bit against his jaw,
deep snorts emitted into the breeze and a small group of little kids crowd along the railing to
watch him gallop. He and Taylor were the only ones out this early, it relaxed her.
