Tell. me. I. am. Crazy. Baby. ====================== Almir's Promise, Arabian Each step was thrown forward carelessly, but the pride and dignity was so clearly shown. It could not be hidden, no matter how lazy the gelding felt, his sleek amber hide shone brightly in the early morning sun. A sapphire halter clung to his finely chiselled Arabian dome. Running wisps of hair covered his fiery eyes, nostrils flared to full capacity. Inhaling a deep breath the analytical gelding tried to take in all the new and interesting scents around him. His hooves fell onto the gravel driveway with an audible ‘clip clop’ it was a constant sound, but rather pleasing to some. There were many inclosed paddocks with high fences, equines walking everywhere, with two-leggeds as well. A high pitch scream emitting a young one who appeared to have lost her mummy. Almir stood still until someone walked up holding out there hands a crisp flame kissed carrot held in their outstretched palm. If a horse could raise his eyebrows he would have done so now, the brujen was not sure whether to trust him or not. Letting his instincts of curiosity take over he peeled his upper lip forward revealing yellow tinted teeth. Picking up the carrot gently he crunched on it rather blissfully.
A tug at his halter told him to walk on. He swished his long plume at the irksome flies that hung around his legs. His pace picked up as every muscle in his body swerved and weaved between each horse and human. It was rather tough work for him, because he hadn’t been exercised in so long. Due to his owner losing confidence, he couldn’t help being a frisky young go getter; he was only three years of age. The turf beneath him soon became softer; the ground was no longer gravel but lush jade winter grass. Resisting the urge to take a few nips at the oh so tempting treat, he lifted his head higher into the air. With a gentle ‘whoa’ from the man’s voice he came to a halt, eyes inquiring what was going on. His gaze soon falling to a spacious ring in front of him, the only thing stopping him from getting in there was the fence. It blocked him from a desire he wished very much to have, maybe even more so than a nice rug on his flesh. The cruel wind whipped at him, the sun even refused to fight against it. The sun was hiding nimbly behind a few dark grey clouds.
The man spoke to him in a soothing tone, ‘just got to open the gate boy…’ There was a chinking of metal against metal, the gate swung open and the lead rope was unclipped. Without thinking twice, he bolted off into a gallop. The fence shutting behind him, his stride was graceful as he ran as fast as he could towards the fence. The small crowd that was gathering quickly gasped as they thought he was going to jump it, sliding to a halt only centimetres before it. He continued this running back and forth, until… a loud booming voice echoed across the stadium “This is Almir, a young three year old Arabian. He is extremely flighty and needs lots of work. He’s going for $900” Young Almir was clearly startled by the voice and let off a few high flying bucks as it came on. An ear splitting whinny came from his jowls as he waited impatiently for the bidding to begin.
I. will. stay. just. the. same. ========================================= 900 dollars, combined training &ooc; Not very good but hey, it's good enough... for now...

The chocolate gelding lifted on to his hind legs, his hooves striking out at the air. His nostrils flared taking in more scents from the auction. Most people thought this fiery gelding was a stallion from the way he acted. His front legs hit back down on the hard grains of sand. Falling into a graceful trot it appeared he was floating on air. He arched his muscular neck and held his tail high, the way that Arabians do. He saw the blonde boy raise a sign saying 900, out of the corner of his eye. But Almir refused to turn his dome to get a better look, in case the young boy thought the gelding was amused be him, which he wasn’t. The loud speaker boomed once more, this time talking rapidly. “We have 900, do I say 950. Okay no, no 950. Going once, going twice and SOLD to the young blonde boy.” Almir reared up once more, the young gelding had never been to an auction before. He had been with Naomi all his life; she bred him and raised him. She trained him as well, but then her studies at university kept her from riding him. And possibly also the fact that Almir bucked her off one day, which ended up with Naomi in hospital with a broken shoulder. The young gelding pranced around on the spot, looking for his new owner. What could the blonde boy have in mind for him.

The young blonde boy smiled and walked to stage...He slowly patted Almir on the neck and smiled"I'm sure Naomi will be happy to see you again!"he whispered to Almir as his eyes shone in trust and love.He turned to talk to the man holding the reins and he nodded as he passed Almir's reins to the young blonde boy."And by the way Almir,my name's Chris...and i got a friend and some treats waiting for you at the barn"He said soothingly

I watched the blonde boy coming over to me, snorting in disgust. This shrimp won’t last more than two minutes on my back! Okay well I’m exaggerating but hey, I throw them off pretty quick. But I’m fair; I don’t throw them off before they’ve got both feet in the stirrups! As his hands clasped around my lead rope, I raised my head high in the air. Looking down my nose at him, silly little kid, well we’ll see what he’s made of. I put my head down low as the words Naomi, spilled out of his mouth. What did he have to do with Naomi, what did he want with her. Where is she, I had so many questions, but no answers. For I do not understand everything they say, just most things. But this I didn’t understand. But he seemed pleased about something Naomi had down and he appeared friendly with her. So, I suppose he might be able to cut it. Treats, Ooo I love treats, I waited impatiently for him to lead me on.

The blond boy smiled ..."you're a tough one eh?"...I know what you think.."you could say i can whisper with horses..i'm a horse whisperer"Chris said with a smile."I'm sure i will last more than an hour on you,did i mention i am a rodeo rider too?"He chuckled friendly. He lead him on to a large trailer.he clicked the lock and the door opened..It revealed the horses's heaven of trailers. The walls weren't metal or brick...it was soft cusiony cusions! And the floors were filled with the best hay...It had a little section where if you get cold or hot..you go in it..And the machine will know if you are cold or not and will change the temp. And it had a bucket filled with water..and another one for treats...But that wasen't it...there was a living thing there..With a apposola coat and a friendly smile and eyes..it was a apposoola throughbred..Chris smiled"Well my friend Almir...this is Cody"he said patting almir.Softly..There was even a specailed bridle with embraced diamonds carved into the name Almir.Chris waited for what the horse would think and do.

I listened to his words and I understood how the hell does he know what I’m thinking. Maybe I need to think about this boy again; maybe I should just give him another chance. I followed along behind him, prancing along the way. Acting extremely stupid as I shied at a branch, yet the boy just led me along. Well he passed the beginners test, but believe me that was the simplest test there was. If I really wanted to carry on I would but at the moment I was too tired. I halted waiting for him to unlock the doors. And what I saw… did not amaze me at all. I snorted lowering my head and walking up the ramp. Not bothering to nicker hello to the other equine. I stood there leaning against the wall. I had to hand it to the kid, it was a nice float. But at the moment I couldn’t be happy, my best friend… my mother, Naomi she was being pulled away from me. She was so many things to me; she had raised me since I was born. When my original mother passed away, Naomi didn’t give up hope and send me to the slaughter house. She did what a loving horse woman would do, she nurtured me. Naomi would stay up around 3am in the morning bottle feeding me. She taught me everything. Closing my heavy eyelids over tired eyes I nickered hello to the other horse in a very ‘whatever’ type of tone.

Chris closed the door...there was two windows and air holes of course..He oned the engine as the moter whined and the wheels speed off away from the auction house..On the way...there was Naomi's farm street...In BIG bold letters of course. The other horse grinned and smiled"I'm cody..And Chris here has a BIG suprise for you...If you manage to catch the street sign...something will ring a bell"Cody said grinning in a friendly way.

I snorted once more, pawing at the ground with my fore hooves. My chocolate hued ears flicking back and forth listening to the engine and the other equines words, I heard the birds. Smiling at their song, it was so cheerful and so free. They were triumphant. My brow furrowed in though letting my words slip out of my mouth, my vocals deep yet harmonious. “A big surprise ey? I’m Almir…” My deep brown eyes scanned out the window looking for the street name. My mind puzzling over what it could be. Then I saw it, Aléatoire Street. That was the name of the street Naomi lived on Aléatoire, it meant Random. As Naomi quite often used to tell me. I couldn’t hide the smile from my lips, resisting the urge to let a powerful buck I stood anticipating what would happen. Shifting my weight from one side to the other, there was no other boarding barn anywhere here. And no body else owned the other two horse ranches, how could he have been so stupid. Of course he was going to be living at Random Park! Every horse living in the area had to; there was no other place to live.

The car engine whirred and died.Chris stepped out of the car and waited for Naomi to come.Instead he took out his cellphone and dialed Naomi's number, asking her to come now.He paused and waited for Naomi...before that he went over to a small fence behind it were a herd of horses. One of them had it ears pricked and had a beautiful slim black coat.He immediatly regonised it and whistled...waiting for it's reply.
